Ennismore has announced the launch its iconic hospitality brand, Delano, in the UAE.
Set on waterfront destination Bluewaters Island, Delano Dubai is part of a deal, signed by Ennismore and Dubai Holding, to introduce luxury lifestyle experiences in the country, and follows last year’s launch of the Banyan Tree Dubai, also on the island.
Delano Dubai features 51 accommodations (167 guestrooms and 84 suites), culminating with a five-bedroom penthouse.
Designing Delano Dubai
Spearheaded by Elastic Architects, La Bottega, SA Consultants, and Y Design, the interiors of Delano Dubai are influenced by the chic, understated styling of Delano South Beach, the brand’s original outpost designed by Philippe Starck.
The use of Delano’s signature white creates bright, light-filled spaces that form the foundation of a layered aesthetic made of contrasting architectural lighting, bold tones, and natural materials such as leather, marble, onyx, white oak, and mohair. Guest areas are defined by organic forms—from fluted detailing and hand-painted botanical motifs to cocoon-like clusters of curved chairs and sofas.

Natural influences extend to the hotel’s rooms and suites, which embrace soft, curved silhouettes and rich textures. Each guestroom is rendered in a tonal color palette paired with bespoke furnishings, along with a private balcony or terrace and marble bathroom.
Suites are available with one or two bedrooms and offer living and dining spaces, as well as a range of private outdoor areas including terraces, gardens, and pools.
The Delano Penthouse
Crowning the hotel is the Delano Penthouse, a five-bedroom, five-bathroom unit set across the entirety of the seventh floor.
Designed by La Bottega Interiors in collaboration with Ennismore’s in-house design team, the 9,150-square-foot penthouse unfolds across both formal and family living spaces, a professional kitchen, five ensuite-bedrooms, and two expansive terraces. Embodying Delano’s distinctive aesthetic, the design merges opposing elements—light and dark, soft and sculptural—with natural stone, rich textures, and mixed woods.
These motifs extend through to the artwork adorning the penthouse. Curated by Curio, the collection includes monochromatic paintings by Christoph Schrein that comprise wave-shaped, light reflecting light streams, and a minimalist piece by Danish duo Krogh Andersen, characterized by subtle curves and deep reflections of light and shadow.

A bedroom at the Penthouse
Delano Dubai is also home to three distinct F&B concepts: Tutto Passa, an amber-hued Italian restaurant and terrace; beachfront restaurant Blue Door; and Rose Bar, the reimagination of a much-loved Delano classic.
“When Delano launched in Miami in 1995, it traded traditional, gilded luxury for something far more modern and understated, but equally grand,” says Ennismore co-CEOs Sharan Pasricha and Gaurav Bhushan. “Delano pioneered the concept of lifestyle hospitality as we know it today, and we are thrilled to be bringing the iconic Delano to the forefront of global hospitality again, with a new home in Dubai, marking a major milestone in the brand’s journey.”
In 2024, Ennismore entered into a long-term partnership with Cain International to drive forward the global expansion of the Delano brand and to reopen Delano Miami Beach, which has been shuttered since 2020.
